What Cabana is

A self-care app where you look after yourself by looking after a creature. It keeps what you write, shows it back to you, and offers goals, reflections and a support resource that is always within reach.

It is not a health service, not a medical device and no substitute for any professional. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Who can use it

People aged 14 and over.

If you are between 14 and 18, talk with whoever looks after you about what you use on your phone — but the app asks nobody for permission in order to work, and collects no guardian data.

What you write is yours

The journal, the voice notes, the goals and the mood entries are yours. We do not become the owner of any of it, we do not use it to train anything and we do not publish it anywhere.

You can take a copy and you can erase everything, at any time, without having to ask.

Remembering is free, forever

The keepsakes you save when you complete a goal stay on your device — no copy of them exists on our servers — and rereading them never costs anything. The memory of what you and your creature have lived through is not a subscription item, and it never will be.

It is truly yours: in Your data you can take a complete copy, free, with no internet and no asking — and the file comes out readable, your text open, not encrypted.

The subscription

The essential loop of Cabana is free forever: hatching, naming, goals, ordering your goals, check-in, adventure and reflection. That never sits behind a payment, in any version.

The optional subscription opens additional creatures, items, journeys and historical statistics. It is monthly or yearly, charged by the store where you installed the app.

The price is shown in the store before purchase, in your currency, and the store processes the payment.

Cancelling

Cancellation happens in the store itself — Google Play or the App Store — and holds until the end of the period already paid for.

Cancelling does not erase your creature or what you wrote. What was paid becomes unavailable; what belongs to the essential loop keeps working.

Refunds follow the store's policy and Brazil's Consumer Protection Code, including the seven-day right of withdrawal.

What we promise

That the app works without internet, without an account and without advertising.

That your creature does not die, does not fall ill and never holds your absence against you.

That nothing you write becomes advertising, a leaderboard or a comparison with other people.

What we do not promise

That the app solves a health problem. It does not, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

That the service stays available without interruption. Maintenance, network failures and store changes happen.

That syncing recovers everything on a new phone: the content that goes up is encrypted with a key bound to your old device, so the journal text may not cross over. That is the consequence of you being the only one who can read it, and it is explained in the privacy policy.

What you may not do

Use the app to harm someone, get around payment, or try to reach another person's data.

In those cases the account may be closed, and that does not affect your right to take a copy of your data first.

If these terms change

We announce it inside the app before it takes effect. If you disagree, you can delete the account and keep using the app on your device, or uninstall it.

Law and jurisdiction

Brazilian law applies.

If there is a dispute, jurisdiction is that of your domicile, as Brazil's Consumer Protection Code requires.
